Our Journey to Life on the Road: From Restlessness to RV Living

Our Life Before RV Living:
Before embarking on our RV journey, our life had its own set of challenges. My husband's commitment to his teaching and coaching career meant long hours away from home, a reality that left me feeling isolated, especially as I worked from home. The evenings, which could have been our time together, were often spent alone, with his coaching duties extending into our weekends. This lifestyle, while fulfilling for him in some ways, led us both to yearn for a change – a way to reconnect not just with each other, but with a life that felt more balanced and fulfilling.
Transition to RV Living:
Our journey into RV living began with a daunting task: downsizing. We spent six months selling most of our possessions, and yet, it was barely enough. The initial transition was challenging, laden with "what have we done" thoughts. Adapting to the nuances of RV life – from managing utilities like hot water and electricity to dealing with repairs – was a steep learning curve. It was a shift from the conventional, but one that brought unexpected lessons and growth.

These first six months have been a revelation. Despite occasional hiccups, we've found joy in rolling with the punches. Our relationship has grown stronger, and we've discovered the peace that comes with unplugging from the usual chaos of life. It's been a journey of appreciating the smaller things, the beauty around us, and the simplicity of living.

There's no set end date to our RV journey. Our plan is to spend about a year in each state, starting with Utah, then moving to Idaho, and beyond. We're embracing the freedom to explore, learn, and grow in this ever-changing lifestyle.
